About Asian Garden
A family-owned Thai and Chinese kitchen on East Main Street in Sidney, Montana — same family, same recipes, since 2009.
Call to Order (406) 433-1828 We’d love to hear from you.Family owned and operated since 2009
Asian Garden opened its doors at 115 E. Main Street in 2009, and our family has run the kitchen every day since. Not a franchise, not a chain — one family, one restaurant, in downtown Sidney.
The idea was simple: give Sidney a place where the curry tastes like curry. Not sweetened down, not thinned out, not sitting in a steam tray. Just the food we've cooked for years, made the way it's meant to be made.
Eastern Montana is a long way from Bangkok, and that's exactly the point. Good Thai food shouldn't require a plane ticket. So we set up a wok and a stock pot on Main Street and got to work — and we're still here.
What Makes It Authentic
Authenticity isn't a label we put on the sign — it's a set of decisions we make every morning before the doors open.
House-made sauces
Our noodle dishes — Pad See Ew, Chow Mein, Pad Kee Mao, Lad Na — all run on sauce we make here, not something poured from a jar.
Cooked to order in the wok
Nothing is pre-made and reheated. Every plate hits the wok when you order it, which is where that smoky stir-fry flavor actually comes from.
Your choice of protein
Nearly every dish comes your way: vegetable, chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, combination, or a seafood mix of shrimp, mussels and imitation crab.
Real curry, six ways
Green, yellow, red, Massaman, Panang, and Dan's Curry — our own take with red curry paste, peanut butter and pineapple. All built on coconut milk.
Fresh herbs and citrus
Lemongrass, cilantro, green onion, and lime run through the soups and salads. Tom Yum and Tom Kha get theirs at the end, so they stay bright.
Fried to order
Egg rolls, crab rangoon, pot stickers, and tempura go into the fryer when the ticket comes in. That's why the wrapper shatters instead of bending.
From the Kitchen
Part of downtown Sidney
Since 2009 we've fed a lot of this town. We're a small kitchen, and we know a lot of our guests by name and by order. Field crews on lunch break, families on Friday night, folks picking up on their way home from the hospital — this is a working town, and we cook like it.
Sidney has changed plenty over the years. We've stayed put on Main Street, cooking the same food the same way. If you haven't been in yet, start with the crab rangoon and a Thai iced tea. We'll take it from there.
